Creating a cool experience for visitors at Bird Paradise, Singapore

Bird Paradise is Singapore’s latest wildlife park, and home to over 3,500 birds across more than 400 species such as loris, pelicans, flamingos, emus, and cassowaries. Since its opening in May 2023, many visitors, locals and tourists alike, flock to Bird Paradise to connect with nature and observe avian wonders up close. While the bird park offers an exciting experience for all, the heat and humidity of Singapore’s tropical climate can impact a visitor’s overall comfort and experience.

Cooling Bird Paradise's Guest Service Area

The challenges of conventional cooling systems

As visitors step into Bird Paradise, the Guest Services counter stands as a primary touchpoint, offering essential information and assistance. Recognising the substantial foot traffic anticipated here, this space was identified as a key area to cool. With its open-air environment, the Airbitat Urban Cooler was installed here, offering a sustainable outdoor cooling solution that seamlessly integrates with the park’s natural environment.

Airbitat Urban integrated cooling

Versatile, sustainable, and delivers a powerful deep cool

The cooling solution involved installing the Airbitat Urban Cooler in the attic to deliver cool and refreshing air to the entire Guest Service area, spanning 120 square meters. This innovative overhead evaporative cooling solution is ideal for open-air environments with space constraints, like the guest service area at Bird Paradise. It optimises coverage and can be seamlessly integrated with building infrastructure, making the most effective use of available space.

Leveraging on our patented Reevac® Deep Cooling technology, the Urban Cooler is able to deliver deeply cooled air that goes as low as 24 degrees Celsius, providing much-needed relief to visitors while they are engaged with the guest services.

The Urban Cooler is not only 50% more efficient than conventional evaporative air coolers, but also significantly less energy-intensive compared to air conditioners.

Airbitat Urban Sustainable Cooling

Transforming outdoor spaces with deep cooling

With the installation of the Urban Cooler, the guest service area is now transformed into a more inviting space that complements Bird Paradise's natural appeal, providing visitors with refreshing cool air on a bright and sunny day out.
